Our travel agent arranged for most of our transfers around Costa Rica to be handled by Coach Costa Rica. So I can’t take credit for finding this great company but I do know that for our next trip we’ll skip the travel agent and work directly with Juan Carlos Ramos. He was always a few minutes early, his van was clean and comfortable, he was friendly and knowledgeable but never intrusive. We learned more from him than from a few of our tour guides! I highly recommend Juan Carlos and his company, Coach Costa Rica.

We used Coach Costa Rica's services to get from San Jose to La Pavona for our visit to Tortuguero. Juan Carlos Ramos got us to our destination early, but not without great stories and interesting facts about what we saw along our drive. What we didn't know when we booked was our "driver" was really a travel guide with decades of experience showing people like us what he loves about his home country. Our next visit to Costa Rica will make much more extensive use of his knowledge and expertise!

Juan Carlos took us all over Costa Rica during our recent stay. What a lovely man he is! Very friendly, respectful , punctual , informative and totally reliable. We learned a lot from him and he made sure our stops on the long journeys were interesting and timely. His English is excellent as is his driving.Using a private shuttle service for just the two of us might seem a little extravagant but we have no regrets. His prices were actually a little less than his competitors . We have no hesitation in recommending him. Pura vida !
